How Sought works

Describe what you need in your own words. Sought turns it into a product search and shows real products, with prices, from real stores.

How Sought finds products

When you describe a person, a plan or a problem, an AI model turns your words into a product search. When you already name a product, Sought searches for it as you wrote it. Sought then searches product listings from online stores and shows up to 40 products, each with its store and price.

How results are ordered

Results are ordered by how well each product matches your search. The first result is marked Best Match when its name includes a word you searched for. Sought puts no ads in its results, and no store can pay for a higher place. When you arrive from an ad, the product you tapped is shown first. You can sort by price or keep only one price range or one store.

Prices and stock

Prices are the ones stores listed when you searched. A store can change a price or run out of stock at any time, so check the store’s page before you buy. You buy from the store, not from Sought.

How Sought makes money

Some links to stores are affiliate links: when you buy, the store may pay Sought a commission. It never changes the price you pay or the order of the results.

Your data

Sought records what you search for, the products you open and how you use the page, including session recordings that show what you type, to improve its results. It keeps a random id in your browser’s storage to connect your visits, and uses your approximate location to show stores in your country. Analytics run on PostHog.
